Dress it up or dress it down, there’s no wrong way to wear cardigans for women

As the fall/winter season approaches you may be dusting off that box with your old favorite short sleeve cardigan sweater.  Fashion trends come and go but a grey cardigan or cardigan of any color is timeless.  In this post we examine a few ways you can wear a stylish cardigan this year.
Do you have a Chunky Knit Cardigan?  A chunky cardigan can be worn open over a dress and cinched with a thin belt.  Wear whatever shoes you normally would with the dress but the knitted cardigan layer will add a warm stylish look to this outfit.  You can also try this look with a cable knit cardigan( Cardigans for Women) A crochet cardigan is the pinnacle of layering garments.  Designed more for warmth than cover up, what you wear underneath is key.  A nice crochet navy cardigan looks great over a light blue floral pattern dress.  Of course if you get a crochet cream cardigan you can wear it with virtually any bottom layer color or print.

A cashmere cardigan is like the Cadillac of cardigans.  They are thin, soft, elegant, and classy.  These can be layered as well and make for a great professional office outfit when layered over a solid camisole and slacks.
A hooded cardigan can definitely keep you warm from head to toe.  Pair it up with jeans and sneakers or a nice print shirt, leggings, and knee length boots.
Long cardigans for women look great with just about anything.  You can wear it with shorts, slacks, skinny jeans, etc.  Layer it over a nice thin dark long sleeve sweater and skirt and you can wear it to work.
Finally, if you have a short cardigan try it over a dress or tie the bottom of it around your waist over a nice button down blouse.  This look can be great for work or play depending on how you style it up and on your dress code at work.
